Milling of metal and sheet metal

Milling is a machining production technique. Milling has many applications: surface milling, chamfering, applying weld edges or achieving specific tolerances that cannot be achieved with other production techniques. All Tosec machines use CNC milling and are equipped with magnetic beds for accurate and fast clamping. We can mill sheet metal up to 7,000 mm and 5-axis mills up to 1,250 mm. Most milling machines are also suitable for long-hole drilling, boring, tapping, smoothing and boring.

Milling sheet metal and constructions

Tosec has a great deal of expertise in milling constructions, complex workpieces and large sheet metal works. With five modern milling machines we can offer you a very complete range of machining operations, such as CNC milling, 5-axis milling, long hole drilling, smooth rolling, boring, drilling and tapping. All machines are equipped with magnetic beds for fast and efficient clamping of milling work. Using the Matec 50 milling machine, we can mill sheet metal up to a length of 7 metres. But we also have suitable machines for small machining work, both single pieces and series. These are the Hartford Omnis 1270 for small sheet metal work and the Hedelius C80 with pendulum function for simultaneous clamping and milling of medium-sized sheet metal up to 4,500 x 800 x 600 mm. For small series work we have an Acura 65 5-axis milling machine.

Matec 50 HV – Our largest milling machine. The Matec 50 HV is our largest processing station, which is specially suited to milling large sheet metal and constructions. The machine has a zero-point clamping system for clamping outside the machine, which saves time and costs. The milling machine is also suitable for 5-axis milling due to the presence of a 1,250 mm round table. The working range is 7,000 mm x 1,200 x 1,300 mm for milling long and grozot sheet metal.
